Basic Sailing Course

Open to all - SSYC Membership NOT required

SSYC's Basic Sailing Course offers classroom training sessions with experienced sailors and provides a solid foundation of sailing basics.

The $95 registration fee includes:

• a textbook
• course notes
• three classes
• one on-the-water practice sail

During the practice sail, SSYC experienced skippers will take students on their boats and show them how to apply what was learned in class.

This course provides a good introduction to sailing, especially for those who’ve never been on a sailboat or have minimal experience.

Plus, it’s a great opportunity to get out on the water on a sailboat!

Students who finish the course will receive a certificate of completion.
